How much of what you believe is based on what you can see?
I know I’m often convinced of something only after I see proof with my own eyes.
But there’s so much more to life than just what you can see. While many people focus only on what’s visible, there’s an invisible realm that’s just as real and just as active as the physical world you see!
We need to be very aware of what we can’t see, or else we risk being vulnerable to evil forces.
The Bible tells us that Satan desires to take the mind captive. He wants to control your thought life, to create doubt and confusion, and to lead you away from God.
You need to be aware of these forces, not ignore them just because you can’t see them. But awareness alone isn’t enough. You can’t overcome the power of the devil by education. You need something stronger!
You need to resist Satan by the power and authority of Jesus.
When you do this in Jesus’ name, giving Jesus His rightful place of authority and control of your mind and behaviors, the footsteps that you hear fleeing won’t be yours. James 4:7 tells us the devil himself “will flee” from the presence of a believer who submits to the Lord Jesus Christ! And you’ll see that “in all these things we are more than conquerors through him who loved us” (Romans 8:37).
There’s so much more to life than what meets the eye. And when you open your mind to be aware of this, you realize just how much you need to rely on the Lord.
