Q: Pastor Graham, my life seems so full of trials and troubles. How can God use me when I’m so weak?
A: I have wonderful news for you! In God’s Kingdom, it doesn’t matter how strong you are… it matters how strong He is.
Remember the Apostle Paul and his “thorn in the flesh”? He prayed for God to take it away – but God had a different plan: “… he said to me, ‘My grace is sufficient for you, for my power is made perfect in weakness.’ Therefore I will boast all the more gladly of my weaknesses, so that the power of Christ may rest upon me.”(2 Corinthians 12:9)
Don’t despair. Your weakness is an opportunity for you to discover and display God’s strength and for the power of Christ to rest upon you!
Q: God feels so distant right now. How can I be sure He’s with me?
A: Our feelings make a poor guide for a life grounded in truth. That’s why you need to build your life on what God says is true and not on what you feel. Get into the habit of preaching the promises of God’s Word to yourself each and every day! Here’s a powerful promise to get you started: “Draw near to God and He will draw near to you” (James 4:8).
