Finally, be strong in the Lord and in the strength of his might. Put on the whole armor of God, that you may be able to stand against the schemes of the devil.

The spiritual enemy who is against us and seeks our destruction is smarter, older, and more cunning than you or I will ever be. So with such a powerful foe, how is it that we can have any real hope of winning in this age-old battle?
Well, as we look at the works of Jesus in the New Testament, we see Him healing the weak and renewing the downtrodden… many of whom were in bondage to the devil. And we’re just like those people before we know Christ – stuck without hope and enslaved to Satan’s purposes.
But when Christ comes into our lives, everything changes. We go from weak to strong… from struggling to winning… and from helpless to powerful. This strength is not one that comes from us, but from putting on the armor that God gives us to do battle with the enemy. And if you keep on reading in Ephesians 6, you find out exactly what that armor is!
Apart from the armor of God, we have no hope against the enemy. But with God’s power, we’re readied for battle against the devil and can overcome because we have Jesus on our side. Praise Him today that He’s given you all you need to fight the good fight of faith!
