Your source for ultimate spiritual victory

And you, who were dead in your trespasses and the uncircumcision of your flesh, God made alive together with him, having forgiven us all our trespasses, by canceling the record of debt that stood against us with its legal demands. This he set aside, nailing it to the cross. He disarmed the rulers and authorities and put them to open shame, by triumphing over them in him.

–Colossians 2:13-15

Perhaps you’ve heard the story about Napoleon Bonaparte, the French dictator who was handily defeated at the Battle of Waterloo. It’s said that after the battle was over and Napoleon had accepted he would not rule the world, he had a meeting with his generals.

Staring at a map of the world, he pointed to a red dot which represented Waterloo. He told his generals, “Were it not for that red spot, I would’ve ruled the world!’

I can imagine Satan himself gathering the minions of hell around him, unfurling a map of the world, and pointing to one little small corner of the earth in Jerusalem. And there, at a place called Calvary where Jesus died on the cross, he’s saying, “If it were not for that red spot, I would have ruled the world.”

If you want to see the ugliness of spiritual warfare, look to the cross. Jesus suffered and died there, but gave a crushing blow to Satan in his plot to rule the world. And through trusting in Christ’s death, you’re empowered to proclaim victory over the evil one. Thank God today for what Jesus did to purchase your victory!

THANK GOD FOR THE SUPERNATURAL POWER HE’S GIVEN YOU TO DEFEAT THE ENEMY THROUGH CHRIST’S DEATH ON THE CROSS!
