How to empower the next generation

Be imitators of me, as I am of Christ.

–1 Corinthians 11:1

Our children learn a lot from us even when we don’t realize it. I heard about a father and his family who were going home from church one day. The father was complaining about everything. He said, “That music was too loud, the sermon was too long, and the sanctuary was too cold.”

His son, about six years old, was sitting in the back seat. He looked at his dad and asked, “Is that why you only paid a dollar for admission?”

Like it or not, our kids will pick up on our habits, be they good or bad. If you’re not committed to the cause of Christ but rather treat church like a Sunday show, your kids will do the same. But if you devote yourself to Kingdom service and wholeheartedly commit to following Christ, your kids will pick up on that!

Raising the next generation is about more than just teaching; it’s about doing. So set an example of godly leadership in your home. It’s the best way to show your kids what it means to follow Christ and encourage them to do that same!

EMPOWER THE NEXT GENERATION TO SERVE CHRIST BY SETTING AN EXAMPLE OF GODLY LEADERSHIP IN YOUR HOME.
