We are living in a world of chaos. There are catastrophes all around us. Not only natural disasters, of course, but also political chaos. In America we have never seen the political unrest that we see during this time. There’s national upheaval and cultural change. Cultural collapse. We are seeing godless secularism move across the world and our country.
Perhaps you’re going through a personal time of upheaval and chaos and even catastrophe in your life, when everything seems to be falling apart. Your life is coming undone. Jesus said, [John 16:33] “In this world (Christian) you will have tribulation…” distress. But then He added, “Be of good cheer, for I have overcome the world.” And He has!
In the midst of this world we are finding that we need a place to stand. We need a mighty fortress. We need the presence and the promises of God that we find in Scripture.
We take our stand on the unshakable, unchangeable presence and promises of God! And when life roars and circumstances rage against you, there is a place for cover, there is a place to hide, there is a mighty fortress who is our God, where we find stability and strength and serenity.
IN THE MIDST OF OUR TRIALS GOD IS OUR REFUGE!
