And they all plotted together to come and fight against Jerusalem and to cause confusion in it.

The devil just loves to insult God’s people and the work they do in his name. And if evildoers went after God’s faithful in the Scriptures, then you and I should fully expect them to come after us today!
Just look through the Bible. You will see that everyone who did anything for God also suffered ridicule or persecution on his behalf.
The ministry of Jesus Christ is the perfect example. The Scripture says that he suffered every indignity. He was mocked, persecuted, scourged, slandered, and beaten. He was persecuted and crucified on the cross for the sins of the world!
But my friend, without the cross of the Lord Jesus Christ, there would be no gospel.
So now, for you and me to experience the blessings of God, we must also expect to experience the suffering of Christ.
I urge you right now. Pick up the cross of Jesus and stand with him no matter what Satan brings your way! And Jesus will be right there standing with you.
WITHOUT THE CROSS OF THE LORD JESUS CHRIST,
THERE WOULD BE NO GOSPEL.
