A lot of people today have a farsighted view of the mission field. So many think that sharing Christ means you have to travel or move to some foreign land. But that’s simply not the case. Your mission field and mine is often in our own backyard!
At the same time, however, there are people who are nearsighted… they only see the people who are right around them. They don’t see the whole world!
But here’s the deal. God has promised a world harvest. So it’s vital that you and I carry that vision in our hearts.
Paul said in 1 Corinthians 3:6, “I planted, Apollos watered, but God gave the growth.” At one time God may use you to prepare the soil of someone’s heart. At another time you may plant the seed of his Word. Then at other times, you may be the one to reap harvest.
But I don’t want you to miss this important truth: You and I have a role in the harvest. That means here at home and around the world.
Are you carrying that vision in your heart? If not, pray now and ask God to give you 20/20 spiritual vision. Because the harvest is ready!
