Financial Firewalls

“The blessing of the LORD makes rich, and He adds no sorrow with it.”

—Proverbs 10:22

There are all kinds of money managers and advisors in our world today: financial planners and bankers and stockbrokers and venture capitalists and certified public accountants and all kinds of men and women, attorneys, who offer financial advice and counsel.

Much of it is good, but what if I could introduce you to a man who was known as the wisest and wealthiest man of his era, perhaps one of the wisest, wealthiest men of all time? He could offer you the book on your personal finances as well as your practical business counsel. His name would be Solomon and his counsel is known as the book of Proverbs.

When we talk about money in The Bible, it’s not all about the giving part. It’s the stewardship and the management of money for our lives.

Money can be extremely positive in our lives. It can be constructive and helpful in life, but money can also be very destructive and damaging and we all know that’s true.

Work hard, do the best you can, be a leader, but make sure that your motive in life is to please God, to honor God, to seek Him first. Then, the things that get added, the abundance that we have, use those for His glory as we give them away, as we make a difference in people’s lives, as we do the work and the will of God on earth.

EARN YOUR MONEY HONESTLY, MANAGE YOUR MONEY WISELY, AND GIVE YOUR MONEY GENEROUSLY.
