How to transform your world

I charge you in the presence of God and of Christ Jesus, who is to judge the living and the dead, and by his appearing and his kingdom: preach the word; be ready in season and out of season; reprove, rebuke, and exhort, with complete patience and teaching.

–2 Timothy 4:1-2

There was a little boy who was learning to play the cello, and one day he decided he wanted to show his mom and dad his progress. So he brought a chair into the living room, his parents sat down to listen to him play, and he took his cello out of the case.

He picked up his bow and began to draw it across one string. Time and time again, he would play that string – loudly then softly, quickly then slowly. He never once played another string, nor did he use his fingers to change notes on the string he was playing.

So after a few minutes, his mom asked, “Aren’t you supposed to use your fingers to change notes, and use other strings too?” “Nope,” the boy said. “Most people who play the cello are looking for the right note. But I’ve found it!”

While playing one note might make for bad music, it makes for beautiful truth. And as Christians, the one note we play to the world is the Gospel of Christ. Proclaim the Gospel each and every day to yourself and those around you and you’ll help transform your world with the truth!

PROCLAIM THE GOSPEL DAY BY DAY AND YOU’LL TRANSFORM YOUR WORLD WITH THE TRUTH OF CHRIST!
