All of us face fear at times. So it’s important to learn how to master it, before fear robs you of your happiness and your health… and holds you back from becoming all that you were born to be.
People have dealt with fear throughout history. Noah faced fear of what others thought of him. Moses felt fearful about his inadequacies. Abraham, Esther, Gideon, Daniel, and Mary the mother of our Lord – each had fearful things to overcome.
And you can overcome your fear too!
God is calling you to do something great in His name; but if you’re afraid, you could miss it. Remember, He doesn’t always call the equipped, but He always equips the called.
If God calls you to do something, He’ll provide for your every need. So don’t be afraid to do what He’s called you to do!
Fear has been described as a small trickle of doubt that flows through the mind, until it wears such a great channel that all your thoughts drain into it. Tiny fears can build up day by day, until we find ourselves paralyzed, unable to perform.
Maybe you get a bad doctor’s report… you lose your job… or your kids rebel and you’re afraid they’ll never come to the Lord. Before you know it, doubt, fear, and anxiety creep in, and you start focusing on your fears rather than living in faith.
But you can break free of fears like these, because Jesus said in John 8:32, “You will know the truth, and the truth will set you free.”
Today, stop focusing on your circumstances and instead consider your God, no matter how difficult, dramatic, or deadly your fears may be. Focus on His truth – and it will set you free!
