D.L. Moody is often referred to as the Billy Graham of the 19th century. But what many people don’t know about Moody is that it wasn’t really until a trip to the British Isles that he fully grasped God’s calling on his life.
One day on his trip, Moody went to Dublin to hear a man preach by the name of Henry Varley. That day, Varley uttered words which would change Moody’s life forever. He said, “The world is yet to see what God could do with a man totally committed to Him.”
When D.L. Moody heard those words, he said in his heart, “By God’s grace, I’ll be that man!” This commitment launched Moody into ministry. He preached all over the world, spreading God’s message of salvation simply because he said, “I’ll be that man.”
When the people of God commit themselves wholeheartedly to His purposes, amazing things will happen for the Kingdom. And as you read these words today, God wants to use you to shake the world for His name. Commit yourself fully to His purpose for your life and watch what He’ll do through you!
