Is hell for real?

“And do not fear those who kill the body but cannot kill the soul. Rather fear him who can destroy both soul and body in hell.”

–Matthew 10:28

As I look at the church today, I'm astonished at the level to which I've seen so many forget about the full truth of the Gospel. You see, Jesus Christ died on the cross to pay the penalty for our sin and save us so we can go to heaven. Yet many men and women in our church today have chosen to ignore the fact that Jesus saved them from something… hell.

People don’t like to talk about hell. They don’t want to offend people with the idea that every single one of us is lost without Christ – condemned and targeted for judgment in hell. They especially don’t want to think about good and decent people who have rejected Christ spending an eternity apart from Him in hell.

But I’d like to remind you that Jesus loves people like no other person could love people. He loves lost humanity more than all of the world put together! Our love and compassion can’t even compare with the love of God in Christ Jesus. But the Christ who came to the cross in compassion and mercy to all who believe spoke and warned of hell many times.

Whether you recognize it or not, hell is real. It’s a real place where real people spend a real eternity apart from God. So instead of ignoring hell, remember that your life should be lived to tell others there’s a way to escape it through a faith relationship with Jesus Christ!

THE BIBLE IS CLEAR THAT HELL IS REAL. SO LIVE YOUR LIFE TO TELL OTHERS HOW TO ESCAPE IT THROUGH A RELATIONSHIP WITH JESUS!
