Life’s Questions, God’s Answers

Every one of us has asked life’s biggest questions: Who am I? Why am I here? And what happens when I die?

These questions aren’t new. They’ve been asked by every generation, across every culture, for centuries. And while the world (and the internet) offers many answers—philosophies, self-help strategies, and shifting opinions—none of them truly satisfy.

Why? Because the real answers are found in one place alone: the Word of God.

O.S. Hawkins’ incredible book The Jesus Code explores this truth by examining 52 key questions from Scripture that help us understand who God is, who we are in Him, and how we can live out our faith in a broken world.

The Power of God’s Word

See, the Bible is not just a historical document or a guide for moral living. It is the living Word of God—breathed out by the Creator to lead us, transform us, and give us hope.

As Psalm 119:105 declares, “Your word is a lamp to my feet and a light to my path.”

When we rely on the Bible, we’re not just gathering information. We’re receiving divine revelation. The Scriptures point us to Jesus, the ultimate answer to every question.

In The Jesus Code, O.S. reminds us that many of life’s greatest lessons are found in the questions of Scripture.

Take this one, for example, from Genesis 18:25: “Shall not the Judge of all the earth do right?” This isn’t just a question—it’s a bold statement that gets to the very heart of the character of God. And as O.S. shares…

“(Abraham) asked it not as much to gain information as to emphasize a point. A rhetorical question really expects no answer; it is already known. In this case, shall God, ultimately, ‘do right’? Absolutely!”

The Bible is filled with these thought-provoking questions. When we engage them, we discover that God’s Word doesn’t just provide answers; it opens our eyes to His character and shapes us into the people He created us to be.

Jesus: The Answer to Every Question

At the heart of the Bible is Jesus Christ, who doesn’t just give answers, but is the answer. In John 14:6, Jesus declares, “I am the way, and the truth, and the life. No one comes to the Father except through me.”

This profound truth is central to everything we believe. When we build our lives on the Word of God, we are building on the solid rock of Christ. And no matter how fierce the storms of life become, we can stand firm, knowing that our hope is secure in Him.

A Challenge for You

As you navigate life’s questions, I encourage you to turn to God’s Word. Don’t settle for temporary, surface-level answers when the eternal, life-giving truth is available to you.
