Maximizing your Kingdom Influence

Let no one despise you for your youth, but set the believers an example in speech, in conduct, in love, in faith, in purity.

–1 Timothy 4:12

In recent decades, I’ve noticed a trend within the church of people wanting to protect themselves from being soiled by the things of the world. Now, I agree we should flee from sin, but many have taken it to the point of completely isolating themselves from the “secular” world and staying in their little holy bubbles.

It’s sad that the people who’ve been called by God to be salt and light in the world are often apathetic when it comes to loving the lost. This is, in part, because the prevailing culture among many Christians is one of seeking comfort, and has been fostered by churches and leaders who have put more emphasis on catering to people than challenging them.

The only way we can fix this is to raise up leaders who will get their hands dirty and challenge others to do the same. We need Christians who choose obedience over comfort… love over convenience… and ministry over ease.

Believe it or not, you can be one of those leaders. I’m not saying you need to take a position at a church. But lead other believers around you by setting an example of serving God and others. Get involved in loving the lost in your community and you’ll influence others to reach out and love people to Jesus!

GET INVOLVED IN MINISTRY AMONG THE LOST AND YOU’LL INFLUENCE OTHERS TO MAKE A REAL KINGDOM IMPACT.
