One-on-one with Dr. Jack Graham

PowerPoint recently sat down with Dr. Jack Graham to talk about his passion for the lost and the local church – and how your gifts and prayers are helping push forward the greatest cause in the world.

PowerPoint: What is your greatest ministry passion?

Dr. Jack Graham: My greatest passion in ministry is fulfilling the Great Commission of our Lord and Savior:

“Go therefore and make disciples of all nations, baptizing them in the name of the Father and of the Son and of the Holy Spirit, teaching them to observe all that I have commanded you.” (Matthew 28:19-20 ESV)

Jesus tells us to have hearts filled with compassion for others – what Jesus calls mercy. Leading someone to salvation promised by our Savior is a beautiful example of mercy. It is an extension of the mercy of God Himself.

Why is a local church important?

The greatest cause on earth to fulfill the Great Commission is the local church. Thus, it is critical that churches teach the biblical truth of God’s Word both within our neighborhoods and to every corner of the world – until every ear has heard. And, of course, the local church provides fellowship with believers, provides spiritual instruction, and allows us to mentor and encourage one another.

How does PowerPoint Ministries support local churches?

PowerPoint’s global coverage carries the Word of God to some of the most inaccessible areas in the world. It takes the saving message of hope to people who otherwise might never hear God’s promise of salvation, and it also is “church” to those who cannot attend or don’t have access to a thriving, Bible-believing, evangelistic local church. But I always want to encourage or supporters to attend a local church.

But with church attendance on the decline, it’s more important than ever that church leaders are empowered to effectively preach the Gospel and reach their communities.

And that is why PowerPoint recently partnered with the Prestonwood Network to support, train, empower, and develop local churches across the U.S. and the world.

The Prestonwood Network is made up of about 70 young pastors and churches in the United States – and it’s growing quickly as it plants and revitalizes churches in major cities across North America and internationally.

The Prestonwood Network provides local pastors with access to our ministry team and allows me to mentor them. We provide training, education, fellowship, encouragement, mentorship, and resources to help them share the truth of the Bible in the most effective ways possible.

When our donors support PowerPoint, they’re supporting local churches and church plants (small startup churches) across the nation. In fact, PowerPoint strategically broadcasts in select cities to encourage listeners without a church home to attend a church in the network. It’s just another way your support is helping share the Gospel and bringing people to Christ. Thank you for helping connect people with churches across America.

And if you’re looking for a new church home, know that the Prestonwood Network has genuine, vibrant congregations that would love to have you. Please visit prestonwoodnetwork.org today to find such a congregation!
