True and lasting fulfillment isn’t found in any kind of man-made, man-centered philosophy. A life of vitality isn’t based on what you think or how you feel. True success… true joy… and true happiness in this life can only be found in one place.
The real secret to life isn’t found in a philosophy, a mantra, a positive outlook, or a mysticism. The real secret to this life is prayer the Jesus way!
Now you may be wondering why I’m saying that. Well, God lays it out for us in Jeremiah 33:3 when He says, “Call to me and I will answer you, and will tell you great and hidden things that you have not known.” Yep… God alone is the One with the real secret! He alone is all-knowing and all-powerful!
I don’t know about you, but when I’m faced with what looks like an impossible situation in life, I don’t want to have to depend on my own wishful thinking to save myself!
I want to lean on the all-powerful God who answered Elijah’s prayer when He sent rain from heaven. I want to depend on the sovereign God who answered Paul and Silas’ prayer and broke them out of jail. I want to depend on the almighty God of the universe who raised the Lord Jesus Christ from the dead!
Remember that prayer changes things. It changes circumstances, and it can change history. So if you’re stuck in an impossible situation today, please don’t lean on yourself. Lean on God.
Cry out to Him and just see… in time… if He won’t deliver you or give you the endurance and peace you need to make it through.
