Q & A with Dr. Jack Graham

Q       Dr. Graham, I often feel overwhelmed by the challenges of life and wonder how I can stand strong in the face of spiritual battles. How do I practically apply God’s Word as my weapon in my life’s battles?

A     First, you have to immerse yourself in Scripture daily. As you study God’s Word, you’re not just filling your mind with knowledge—you’re equipping your heart with truth. This truth becomes your defense against the enemy’s lies and your offense against his attacks.

Second, speak and pray God’s Word aloud. Jesus gave us the perfect example in Matthew 4 when He countered Satan’s temptations with Scripture, declaring, “It is written.” When you’re faced with fear, doubt, or temptation, use the promises of Scripture as your response. Claim verses like John 8:32, “You will know the truth, and the truth will set you free,” and trust in the power of God’s truth to break through the darkness.

And finally, remember that you’re not fighting alone. The Holy Spirit is with you, empowering you in the battle. The victory is already yours in Christ!
