One of the most encouraging truths in all of Scripture is that God created you on purpose and for a purpose.
Ephesians 2:10 tells us…
For we are his workmanship, created in Christ Jesus for good works, which God prepared beforehand, that we should walk in them.
You are not an accident. Your life is not random. Long before you took your first breath, God knew you, loved you, and prepared a path for you to walk with Him.
We see this truth beautifully in the life of Joseph.
When Joseph was just a young man, God gave him a dream. At the time, he could not have understood everything that dream would require. The journey ahead would include betrayal, temptation, disappointment, waiting, and hardship. Yet through every twist and turn, God was faithfully working to accomplish His purpose.
Joseph’s story reminds us that God has a purpose for every believer.
Life is a journey, and you’re going somewhere. The question is whether you’re simply drifting through life or discovering God’s plan for your future.
Too often, people settle for far less than what God desires for them. They allow fear, criticism, failure, or disappointment to convince them that their best days are behind them. Others become so distracted by the pressures of everyday life that they stop dreaming altogether.
But God never intended for His children to live without purpose.
In my book Destiny, I share how dreams God gives are not merely about personal success or ambition. They are connected to His kingdom, His glory, and His work in the world. As we seek Him, trust Him, and follow His direction, He shapes our desires and leads us into the life He created us to live.
The question is the same one Joseph’s father asked him long ago: “What is this dream that you have dreamed?” (Genesis 37:9).
Perhaps today is the day to ask God that question for yourself.
He still guides. He still calls. And He still has a purpose for every life surrendered to Him.
