The call to live beyond yourself

For the kingdom of God does not consist in talk but in power.

–1 Corinthians 4:20

I heard a joke once that every baseball team would love to have a player who never makes an error, who never strikes out, always gets a hit, and always plays perfectly. But the only problem is that they can’t get that guy in the stands to drop his hot dog and get out on the field and play!

In life, there are always those who criticize and minimize those who are on the field in the action. So, it takes some courage and a lot of commitment to step up to the plate and to get into the game. And frankly, very few Christians are doing it because they’re more comfortable sitting in the stands (or behind their keyboard!)

The Christian life is a call to live beyond yourself, to step in and do the work of ministry when you’re called. Yet, many people love to be consumers of church rather than contributors to God’s Kingdom.

It’s time for a wake-up call among Christians today. We need men and women who will live a life sold out to Christ. So, if you haven’t yet, step up to the plate today and make an eternal impact for the Kingdom of God!

IF YOU’VE BEEN SITTING IN THE STANDS OF THE CHRISTIAN LIFE, STEP UP TO THE PLATE AND MAKE A DIFFERENCE FOR THE KINGDOM!

Jesus is your answer

Jesus’ miracles weren’t stunts — they reveal who He is and what His power can do in your life. Whatever you face today, Jesus is the answer.
