The greatest gift you can give your loved ones

Hear, my son, your father’s instruction,

and forsake not your mother’s teaching,

for they are a graceful garland for your head

and pendants for your neck.

Proverbs 1:8-9

Suppose a friend comes to you one day and says, “I want to take you to eat the best steak in town!” Doesn’t that sound great? So you wait for the day you’re supposed to go, and even skip breakfast and lunch in anticipation of that mouthwatering steak. You get to the restaurant and finally sit down at your table.

So you order, “Bring me the best steak in town.” You wait a little while, and here it comes on a huge, sizzling platter. You look down at it, and you see a little piece of meat about an inch long and a half inch thick. So you say, “Wait a minute… I’m here to eat the best steak in town!” And the waiter tells you, “That is the best steak in town. It’s very high-quality!”

Quality with very little quantity isn’t quality at all. No spouse or child will tell you in twenty years, “I wish you’d spent more time at work and less at home with us.” But the sad reality is that many parents today are absent, spending quality time here and there, but not giving their spouses or kids the quantity of time they need.

The people you love don’t just need your quality time. They need quantity as well. It’s the greatest gift you can give them. Spend time with your loved ones and you’ll see God bless your relationships in amazing ways.

SPEND QUALITY AND QUANTITY TIME WITH YOUR LOVED ONES, AND GOD WILL BLESS YOUR RELATIONSHIPS.
