The power of God’s love for you

Therefore be imitators of God, as beloved children.

–Ephesians 5:1

I was in a grocery store several years ago and saw a mother who was exasperated with her child. I could tell things weren’t going well for her that day, but I heard her say something that just made me cringe. She was trying to get her child to obey and said, “If you do that, God isn’t going to love you.”

I want to tell you today that there is nothing that you can do to keep God from loving you. The Bible tells us that He loved the world so much that He gave His only Son (John 3:16). And guess what—that includes you!

And here’s something else: God doesn’t change us in order to love us. No, He loves us how we are in order to change us. It’s His love that transforms us and molds us more and more into His image.

If you’re in Christ, not one iota of sin will ever be counted against you. God sees you today as holy and blameless before Him. And it all comes out of His never-ending, unstoppable love for you. Praise Him for that today!

YOU CAN’T ESCAPE GOD’S LOVE FOR YOU, SO ALLOW HIS LOVE TO TRANSFORM YOU INTO HIS LIKENESS.
