The world needs men…

Masculinity is more than a hot-topic these days — it’s a minefield!

The very concept of masculinity is being challenged, even labeled as toxic, at every turn.  Throw in issues like gender fluidity and gender roles, and the topic becomes so fraught that few Christians want to wade into it.

But here’s the reality… we can’t afford not to.

Our families, our churches, and the world need men.  Not just any man will do though — we need men of God. These are men surrendered to Jesus and the service of others… men who make loving husbands, strong fathers, and committed spiritual leaders.

These are not men who use their strength to control, but men who wield strength to lead and serve others.

These are not men who chase ambition at every turn, but men who passionately chase what matters most in life.

These are not men who give into indulgence and temptation, but men who give themselves over to the pursuit of holiness.

In short, these are men of God.

Men who’ve answered the call of 1 Timothy 6:11–12…

“But as for you, O man of God, flee these things. Pursue righteousness, godliness, faith, love, steadfastness, gentleness. Fight the good fight of the faith. Take hold of the eternal life to which you were called and about which you made the good confession in the presence of many witnesses.”

Give me an army of men ready to say “yes” to this biblical charge!

John Wesley once said that 100 preachers who fear nothing but sin, and desire nothing but God, could shake the gates of hell.

How much more powerful to see millions of Christian men step up to “fight the good fight” — in their marriages, their homes, their jobs, and their communities.

This is the exciting opportunity I explore in my book Man of God.
