Trusting in God’s best for you

And we know that for those who love God all things work together for good, for those who are called according to his purpose.

–Romans 8:28

I heard a man give a testimony about how God had worked things together for his good in life, both good and bad. He stood up in front of the church and said, “I hate salt!” And then he said, “I hate baking soda and flour too!”

Then he said, “But I love biscuits!”

Salt by itself has a horrible flavor. And if you tried to eat baking soda or flour by themselves, I don’t think you’d find them very tasty. But when you mix these elements together, they can create something that’s better than the sum of its parts. And in the same way, God can take those things in your life that are bad and work them together for your good.

God is able to take your tragedies, tears, and tests, and through the chemistry of the cross, work them together for your good. Now, that doesn’t mean that cancer or automobile accidents are good. But it does mean that God is able to take those tragedies of life, those things that don’t make sense, and work them together for good.

So when troubles hit, when sickness strikes, and when it seems like things are falling apart, remember that God is at work for your best and will never let you go!

WHEN LIFE’S CHALLENGES HIT, REMEMBER THAT GOD IS WORKING FOR YOUR BEST!
