What if there were no tomorrow?

Look carefully then how you walk, not as unwise but as wise, making the best use of the time because the days are evil.

–Ephesians 5:15-16

What if there were no tomorrow for your family? Several years ago, a pastor I know was out of town with his wife. The two were heading to a meeting just three blocks from their hotel when someone ran a red light and hit them. He survived, but his wife was tragically killed.

A good friend of mine, also a pastor, rushed to the hospital to see him. As the two sat there in silence, the man who’d lost his wife said to my friend, “Tell your congregation to make every day count with their spouses. Life is tissue-paper thin.”

Tissue-paper thin. Your family is one of God’s greatest gifts to you. Yet, how many people squander the time they have with their families and take this incredible gift for granted? Far too many. And for some they’re faced with that terrible reality when, one day, someone they love is taken away.

If you were to seize each day with your family and soak up every moment, would your life look different? Don’t let another day pass by without letting your family know you love them through both your words and actions!

TREAT EVERY DAY WITH YOUR FAMILY AS A GIFT BY SHOWING HOW MUCH YOU LOVE THEM.
