So the people shouted, and the trumpets were blown. As soon as the people heard the sound of the trumpet, the people shouted a great shout, and the wall fell down flat… and they captured the city.

Do you know that God’s plan for every Christian is victory? It’s true. That means if you’re a believer, God’s promise of victory is right in front of you. You just have to grasp it!
For the children of Israel, grasping the victory God planned for them came after they had been in the wilderness for 40 years. Moses had promised them a land flowing with milk and honey, and they were eager to see that kind of abundance!
But right before they were to enter the Promised Land, they faced a problem. A huge problem. Standing between them and this great land was the city of Jericho. And it was surrounded by a massive wall!
After 40 years of waiting, do you think the Israelites hung their heads and went back to Egypt? No, they didn’t! The children of Israel were an army of believers. And in today’s military vernacular, they surged.
They prepared. They prayed and marched around Jericho. And when it was time, they shouted and blew their horns and the walls came down! And the city and the victory was theirs.
Let me ask you today, is there something standing in your way to the promise God has given you in your life? If so, what are you doing about it? Are you hanging your head in defeat… or are you surging forward to claim the victory you know is yours in Christ Jesus?
