What you can do in God’s hands

But God chose what is foolish in the world to shame the wise; God chose what is weak in the world to shame the strong; God chose what is low and despised in the world, even things that are not, to bring to nothing things that are, so that no human being might boast in the presence of God.

–1 Corinthians 1:27-29

When you read the Scriptures, one thing you’ll notice is how much God loves using little people and little things for His glory. Take Moses for example… a man who admitted he was not articulate. God appeared to him in the form of a little scrubby burning bush and told him that he would lead an entire race of people out of slavery.

As if that’s not enough, He also used a scraggly little Israeli shepherd boy named David to bring down not just the powerful giant Goliath, but as a result, caused the entire Philistine army to retreat.

God has a history of taking what’s small and insignificant and using those things in big, significant ways. That’s because time and time again, God wants to demonstrate to humanity the fact that He is all powerful and worthy of praise.

So the next time you’re tempted to think you can’t do great things, remember those heroes of the faith in the Scriptures who were less gifted than you and God used to accomplish amazing feats. Submit to Him, and watch as He uses your life to shake the world!

GOD USES HUMBLE CIRCUMSTANCES TO DO GREAT THINGS. SUBMIT TO HIM AND HE’LL USE YOU IN A POWERFUL WAY.
