The book of Nehemiah contains the longest recorded prayer in the Bible. In that prayer, we see what kind of God we serve and how his people responded.
In Nehemiah 4, the Bible gives us an account of a time when the children of Israel were debilitated by discouragement. They were halfway through completing the rebuilding of the wall of Jerusalem, and discouragement attacked them with full force.
