There was a family in our church not long ago who experienced a very difficult time. Their young son was severely injured in a car accident. So one of our ministers went to visit this family. And when he walked in, he saw something wonderful. While that family was in the throes of tragedy, fifteen people from their Sunday school class had their arms wrapped around them, just praying, holding them, and loving them through that situation.
I remember back when I was a little boy, drawing pictures on the church bulletin on Sunday morning and going to sleep on Sunday night in my mama’s lap. There was never any sleeping like that kind of sleeping! And to be honest, I didn’t care what the pastor was saying. I would catch bits and pieces, but I just wasn’t concerned about it all too much.
I remember the day I got my first car like it was yesterday. Now, that old jalopy wasn’t much to look at to some people. But to me, it looked like a brand-new Rolls Royce!
Most people today don’t know what real Christian fellowship looks like. Some people think of it is as grabbing some coffee in the hallway after church.
