I was once at a local hospital visiting a friend, and I came across a young lady in the waiting room who was crying uncontrollably. She looked to be about 17 or 18 years old, so I walked over to her and I said, “I’m a minister. Can I help you?”
I read a survey once in USA Today that was conducted among parents. The question was asked, “Do you think you’re doing a better job raising your children than your parents did?” And overwhelmingly, these parents said that they were, in fact ,doing a better job than their parents.
Years ago, there was a lady in our church who was frustrated with her marriage. She was absolutely miserable. Her relationship with her husband was essentially non-existent, and she constantly found herself bursting out with anger against her children. She didn’t know what to do.
